This is a large map of the Algonquin Provincial Park. Each contour layer represents 75 metres of elevation. With so many lakes in Algonquin Park it is easy to see how it is quintessential Canadian Shield geography. Having canoed in both the southern and northern portions of the park, I tried to make sure that all of the major tripping areas are covered. Lake Opeongo can been seen in the center of the map while the Ottawa River just touches the northeast corner. The park boundary is shown and if you look closely, you can see Hwy 60 snaking its way through the southern portion of the map.
Size: 17" x 23"
Layers of 1/8″ Baltic birch wood are laser-engraved and cut before being stained and joined. The ready-to-hang maps are encased in plexi-glass and a custom-made frame.
